At the IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students' Associations) General Assembly in Macedonia this summer, the CFMS and IFMSA-Quebec won their joint bid to host next August's IFMSA General Assembly in Montreal! Canada has never hosted an IFMSA meeting in the 59 year history of the IFMSA, so this is a fantastic opportunity for medical students across Canada to get involved in an international network of medical students. We are estimating that 800 medical students from over 80 countries around the world will attend the meeting, including more than 100 students from Canadian medical schools.

This is a HUGE initiative and will require a lot of effort from students across the country. Right now, the areas that we are most in need of support is sponsorship recruitment and theme development. There is limited availability for students to attend the meeting, and preference will be given to students that are involved in the planning process. If you want to get involved, please let me know!
