Selection of CFMS Representatives to External Committees
Dear Medical Student,
As the national representative of Canadian medical students, the
Canadian Federation of Medical Students (CFMS) represents you and your
colleagues to many national bodies including the Canadian Medical
Association, the College of Family Physicians, the Royal College of
Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and many others.
Each year the CFMS selects a new group of talented individuals to help
represent medical students to these organizations and this is your
chance to get involved. These positions are a great opportunity to
represent your colleagues and to learn. There are a variety of
opportunities available in health promotion, medical education and a
variety of specialty groups.
The positions currently available for the 2010-2011 school year
include:
1. CFMS Rep to Canadian Medical Association General Practitioner's
Forum - Early Deadline! - (January 20, 2010, First Meeting February
4-5, 2010)
2. CFMS Rep to Canadian Medical Association Committee on Healthcare
and Promotion - Early Deadline! - (Deadline January 31, 2010)
3. CFMS Rep to the College of Family Physcians of Canada (Deadline
February 15, 2010)
4. CFMS Jr Rep to Committee on the Accreditation of Medical Schools
(Deadline February 15, 2010)
5. CFMS Rep to Canadian Association of Interns and Residents (Deadline
February 15, 2010)
6. CFMS Rep to Canadian Association for Medical Education (Deadline
February 15, 2010)
7. CFMS Rep to Canadian Medical Association Specialist Forum (Deadline
February 15, 2010)
8. CFMS Rep to Royal College International Conference on Residency
Education (Deadline February 15th, 2010)
