ARRHG Updates

The video and discussion on Aboriginal perspectives and experiences related to water will be held the evening of Feb 22. Elders Walter and Maria Linklater, toxicologist Dr. Lalita Bharadwaj and our mentor Val Arnault-Pelletier will help to facilitate discussion. Exact time and location will be announced soon, or contact us for more details.

We are still looking for your input and help with the following:

  • Panel discussion with health care workers and patients that will explore each groups experience with the health care system, and discrimination within that system
  • High school mentorship program
  • Planning of the Discovery Day, to be held in June, which will allow high school students from rural and Aboriginal backgrounds to come to the U of S and experience what it would be like to be a health science student
  • A fun and interactive interprofessional session that will explore zoonotic diseases
