Call for Volunteers: Awareness Campaign for the Heart and Stroke Foundation

When: February 10th-12th, 9am-2pm

Where: Tables set up in the Tunnel and RUH Mall

What: Students promoting awareness about heart disease and stroke, and raising funds to help "…in the elimination of heart disease and stroke through the advancement of research and its application…".

Why: To help promote healthy lifestyle choice in the community, to raise awareness of the Heart and Stroke Foundation, to help with awareness of PHIG, MPH, and CH&E, etc.

Who: Anybody who has some time and is willing to help! The workload will be minimal (shifts between 1 and 3 hours), with shift times/hours being fairly flexible. The length of each shift is dependent on the number of volunteers, so the more the merrier!!.

How to Get Involved: E-mail Janelle Gerein at jag978@mail.usask.ca with the day(s) and time(s) you are available. Please reply no later than January 31st.

Eco-Health Interest Group (EHIG)

The new Eco-Health Interest Group (EHIG) is looking for members! EHIG will focus on themes related to changes in the ecosystem and how they impact human health. To learn more about the term Eco-Health visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecohealth.
There is no cost to join this group. Potentials members include students in all Health Sciences and additionally Veterinary Medicine, Public Health, Social Work, and Community Health & Epidemiology. Stay tuned for the new EHIG website and activity calendar.
