Health Everywhere Haiti Fundraiser for MSF
As many of you know, last week the island of Haiti was stuck by a devastating earthquake, which has left a death toll estimate in the range of 50,000 to 200,000 people. Health Everywhere, a group of Medical students from the University of Saskatchewan, are raising funds to support MSF's disaster relief efforts in Haiti. Médicins Sans Frontieres/ Doctors Without Borders is a humanitarian medical relief organization that was already well established in Haiti, though suffering many infrastructural losses and overwhelming need in wake of the disaster. The government of Canada will be matching funding to this organization. Health Everywhere will be accepting donations, in person at each of the 3 Saskatoon hospitals on Wednesday, January 20th and Friday, January 22nd between 8 am - 4 pm. You can also donate money online by clicking on the link below.
